WHY DO YOU NEED A SCALE MANNEQUIN?

More likely you have seen in the photos from designer studios and fashion houses small mini-mannequins. Today we will tell you about them. Such mannequins are called scale and they are designed not only for interior decoration and creative atmosphere.

A scale mannequin — what is it?

In any case, the name speaks for itself. A scale mannequin is a dress form created in a certain scale to the ordinary exemplar. Usually it’s a scale 1:2 (decreased in 2 times in comparison to conventional) and 1:4 (decreased in 4 times). Scale mannequins rarely have wide size range. Most frequently they comply with reduced parameters of mannequin of the XS size (36 EU, 4 US).

The basis and cover depend on producer. However, mannequin is often made in soft form as soon as you can work with it using draping method. The most convenient variants of cover for work are dense cotton and jersey.
